This original first-printing Jimi Hendrix handbill has EVERYTHING GOING FOR IT: Scarcity, Desirability, Beautiful eye-catching artwork by Brad Cantwell, Museum quality condition, the most legendary performer of ALL legendary performers, and its connection to a legendary performance!
On May 2nd, 1970 Jimi played at the Dane County Memorial Coliseum in Madison. Oz was in support. Jimi's band was Billy Cox on bass and Mitch Mitchell on drums. It was only the 4th show at the beginning of "The Cry of Love" tour and the band was on fire. Audio recording sources of this show have circulated through fans for decades. Not only was Jimi’s playing brilliant that night, but he also references Cambodia before "Machine Gun", noting the U.S. involvement in the war.
Another example of this handbill in lesser condition reached $1,625.00 in another public auction! According to our records, this original pre-concert first-printing handbill has only surfaced in public auctions a few times in the past 10 years. We may not see this one again for a long time, so don’t miss this opportunity!
