Here is an original 1966 concert poster from the tiny Matrix club, in San Francisco’s Marina. The Wildflower early proponents of psychedelic folk-rock. They were kind of precursors to the hippies and were at the very beginnings of the folk-psych music scene. The Matrix was an early club that hosted many blues and folk acts along with the emerging San Francisco sound. Managed by the Airplane’s Marty Balin, the matrix served as an early showcase for the band. There is a considerable amount of early material from this venue. They are scarce and currently undervalued relative to their historical importance and design.
Condition: Pinholes, edge toning, handling bottom edge.
