This original flyer features The Wildflower and Marvin Gardens at The Matrix in early November 1968. The Wildflower were early proponents of psychedelic folk-rock. They were kind of precursors to the hippies and were at the very beginnings of the folk-psych music scene. The Matrix is an incredibly important venue as it was San Francisco’s first folk club EVER. The Matrix opened in August 1965 and was a tiny venue holding just over 100 concert-goers.
