This mailer was produced for a Greg Irons Retrospective Art Exhibit held at The Tattoo Rose Cafe in San Francisco during spring of 1983. Irons did the art design on the mailer. Greg Irons was one of the great unsung heroes of the 1960s psychedelic art scene. Irons was a master underground comix, poster, and tattoo artist. His style was perfect for each of those mediums. His cartoon-like imagery will remain among the most memorable of the entire genre. Also, his work with Last Gasp comix is remembered as some of the finest underground comic illustration work ever.
Condition: Folded in thirds, addressed on rear with canceled stamp. Top edge toning, staple holes, bottom right corner bump, top right and left corner crease, tape pulls on reverse.
