This ultra-rare original concert poster advertised The Jeff Beck Group, along with Kensington Market and Earth Opera for a run of shows at the Boston Tea Party during late October 1968. This is the FIRST example of this rare poster to appear in our auction! The design on this poster was done by David Jenks.
By now, electric guitar master Jeff Beck had formed his own group after leaving The Yardbirds. During this period, Rod Stewart was singing with Beck's band, along with additional members Ronnie Wood, the great Nicky Hopkins on keys and Mickey Waller on drums.
The historic Boston Tea Party venue was located at 53 East Berkeley Street in the South End from 1967-1969 before moving to its new location at 15 Lansdowne Street through 1970. Material from the Boston Tea Party is ALWAYS coveted by collectors and music fans alike!
Condition: Minor restoration. Large edge tear, paper loss bottom left corner.
