This Gary Houston was produced for Richard Thomson's October 2005 shows in Portland and Seattle. Richard Thompson is a highly acclaimed British singer-songwriter and guitarist. He first gained prominence as a founding member of the folk-rock band Fairport Convention in the late 1960s. His innovative guitar work and songwriting helped shape the band's sound and influence the British folk-rock movement. After leaving Fairport Convention in 1971, Thompson embarked on a solo career and also formed a musical partnership with his then-wife, Linda Thompson. Thompson's solo work is marked by his distinctive voice, intricate guitar playing, and a blend of folk, rock, and traditional music influences.
