This lot contains a Sunday Jazz Workshop Ticket for Big Mama Thornton at the 1969 Newport Folk Festival. Following her Saturday July 18, 1969 performance on the Newport Festival main stage, Big Mama Thornton and her band performed again the following afternoon as part of a more intimate Black Roots Workshop, also held on the festival grounds.  We have never seen one of these rare relics before until now!
