This Great Highway Original Handbill was designed by artist Randy Tuten and featured Quicksilver Messenger Service, Osceola and the Robert Savage Group for a 2-day run of shows in April 1970. Approximately seven months after The Family Dog was forced out of the Avalon Ballroom, Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom part of the Playland at the Beach complex. Due to budget constraints, relatively few posters were produced for the shows at 660 Great Highway. Mostly handbills like this one were used to promote those concerts and they were printed in small quantities.
