The Zippies were a short-lived faction of the Yippie movement in 1972. This poster advertised a benefit concert for the Zippies held at I.W.W. Hall in Chicago on March 31st, 1972. The event was headlined by David Peel & The Lower East Side. Peel was an agitprop / subversive "Hemp Hero" & extremely early punk-New York street musician, folk singer, counterculture icon, and a one-time crony of John Lennon. Other performers included Evil, Teenage Lust, and Armadillo.
