This ultra-rare original concert poster advertised The Nice and the Allman Brothers Band for a three-night run at the Boston Tea Party in early December 1969. The non-credited design on the poster was created by Bob Driscoll. Very few posters from the early years of the Allman Brothers Band exist, not to mention the Duane Allman era. This is the FIRST example of this rare poster to appear in our auction! The Boston Tea Party venue is one of those pockets of poster collecting that frustrate collectors and dealers alike. The print runs were minuscule so the survival rates are painfully low. The hottest pieces were absorbed into top collections decades ago and rarely come up for sale. There is no official cataloging reference material for the venue that we are aware of.
Condition: paper loss top right, crease top left corner, stains and toning.
