This poster was designed to advertise the MC5 playing at Woodrose in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 10th, 1970. The recent passing of the MC5's founding member and lead guitarist Wayne Kramer was a great loss to the world of rock music. MC5 started their music career in Michigan and developed a reputation for energetic and polemical live performances. They were a mainstay at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. Their 1969 debut album Kick Out the Jams landed them into the history books. Their importance cannot be overstated. Check out our video on MC5 and the Detroit scene here!
