This lot contains 3 original FD-6 transparencies.
In the screen-printing process a black negative of an image is used to expose onto a mesh screen that has been coated in light-sensitive emulsion. After it is exposed to light the emulsion covered by the black image is washed away leaving a stencil. With the use of a squeegee ink is flooded into the mesh of where the stencil is. The ink is then pushed back off the stencil releasing it from the mesh and creating a print onto the paper below. This lot features 3 of Wilson’s transparencies used to create stencils during the process of printing FD-6.
