Presenting the first example of this rare handbill to ever appear in our auction. This original handbill, printed on card stock, advertised Spirit, Mason Proffit and Sugarloaf at the Fairgrounds Coliseum in Salt Lake City on March 13th, 1971. Fantastic psychedelic artwork by Richard Winn Taylor of the "Rainbow Jam Lights". This full color, postcard sized handbill, exhibits the large abstract dot screen image in yellow, blue, and green with a star / rainbow border and typeset lettering. Extremely limited distribution and Ultra Scarce these days!  It's not likely you'll see another copy in another auction anytime soon.

Richard Winn Taylor was the Art Director for the early Tron and Star Trek movie motion pictures. Taylor, along with Kenvin Lyman, were the infamous "Rainbow Jam Lights" back in the day. Rainbow Jam performed their light wizardry at a plethora of midwest concerts, as well as for Family Dog during the late 60s & early 70s. Jerry Garcia said Rainbow Jam was the "best light show in the world!", and obviously he'd seen a few in his time.
