This vintage, original headshop poster features the illustration later used as the centerpiece of the popular May 9th, 1970 Pink Floyd Terrace Ballroom, Salt Lake City Poster. This headshop poster is printed on thick white stock. The design is by Salt Lake City based (in 1970) artist Robert E. Brown. Brown spent an entire month, in the spring of 1970, creating this incredible, fantastic imagery using his early fine lined, intricate, inking style to create an old "engraving" effect. The artist admired Gustav Dore's famous book illustrations from earlier in the century. Only 500 copies of this poster were printed, primarily for distribution to Sword & Sorcery, Fantasy book zines, Comic Fanzines and local Salt Lake City headshops & boutiques. Following the printing of this poster, a local concert promoter was so impressed by the artwork that he commissioned Brown to include it as the centerpiece artwork for the upcoming May 9th, 1970 Pink Floyd concert poster.

Condition: Toning, stains, creases, paper loss on corners, tear bottom right edge.
