This RARE poster was produced for the Marshall Tucker Band playing at the Armadillo World Headquarters on December 2nd, 1975. It was designed by artist Danny Garrett, as a tribute to the late Austin poster artist Ken Featherston. Ken was a major figure in the history of Armadillo World Headquarters and met his tragic end by mistakenly being shot to death at the venue at the age of 23 in 1975, earlier in the same year that this show occurred.

The Armadillo opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980.

The legendary music club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere!

Condition: Crease bottom right corner, handling, finger bend and edge wear right edge
