The Electric Circus nightclub locations in New York City and Toronto were popular music venues during the late sixties which promoted "playing games dress as you like dance sit think tune in and turn on". The Velvet Underground (their performances under Andy Warhol's influence) The Doors The Allman Brothers Band and The Grateful Dead all performed at the New York location. This poster was produced for a touring version of the venue at Ban Johnson Field House in Marietta Ohio on October 1st, 1968.

 

This poster designed by artist Jacqui Morgan in 1967 is widely considered one of the most influential graphic design masterpieces of the era. She passed away in 2013 but is remembered as being one of the first successful female commercial illustrators in the US.
