'Tis the season to celebrate summer music festivals with “The Royal’s World Countdown” Monterey International Pop Festival souvenir original program! This example is just the second we’ve offered in our auction! Printed on newsprint this program features beautiful cover art designed by Andrea Lunin-Hill and contains 20 pages of articles photographs and advertisements. Considering its fragile newsprint and its age it truly is a miracle this original piece of memorabilia has survived all these years.

The Monterey Pop Festival was one of the most pivotal musical events in history. The festival welcomed in the “Summer of Love” and featured the first U.S. performances by both Jimi Hendrix and The Who! Vintage festival programs from the 60s are harder to find with each passing year. As quantities of available programs decrease the more collectible they become.
