This RARE cardboard poster was produced for B.B. King's appearance at El Casino Ballroom in Tuscon, Arizona on December 9th, 1964. The Larks filled out the supporting slot. The king of the blues B.B. King is one of the most cherished musical icons of the century. The late great American Treasure introduced a sophisticated style of guitar soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that influenced many later electric blues guitarists. Original cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought-after types of concert memorabilia ever known!
This poster was produced by the Tilghman Press company out of Oakland CA. Their promotional material had a consistent and familiar appearance to them similar to classic boxing-style concert items from the early days of rock n roll. Very few original Tilghman Press posters exist today because they were printed in extremely small quantities!
