We are pleased to be able to offer a true gem from the psychedelic era. The historical and cultural significance of “ A Tribute to Dr. Strange” cannot be understated. The Charlatans groundbreaking performances at the Red dog Saloon aside “A Tribute to Dr. Strange” was the first true psychedelic dance concert in San Francisco. This gathering that was organized by a collective of artists and bohemians known as “The Family Dog” was the spark that lit the flame of all future “happenings”.

This super rare and valuable handbill is one of the few remaining artifacts that still exist from this groundbreaking event.

This hand bill printed on ultra thin(almost translucent) paper stock and measures 8 ½ x 11” The upper left corner exhibits a light fold and is slightly discolored . There is a barely visible 1/16” nick on the upper left side that is really only visible under magnification. A handling mark in the upper right portion and a bit of handling along the bottom edge are also present. There are no holes tears or restoration of any kind.
