This original poster has been lightly restored for maximum eye appeal!
This double sided, small sized 10 1/2 x 14 inch poster was produced for a run of concerts at the Fillmore West featuring the Grateful Dead, Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Sons of Champlan. The concerts, August 30, 31 and September 1st, 1968, were also promoted on the classic Lee Conklin BG-134 Fillmore Poster. The low budget, minimal production graphics contribute to the rarity of this unnumbered, alternate Fillmore West concert poster, thus it was thrown away by most folks that happened to have a copy back in the day. According to noted poster historian Eric King, this small, double sided poster here was deliberately not included in his guide. King states: "My guide to bill graham items is limited to numbered images. This is for an event which is listed on the BG-134 poster, but it is not a numbered item. There are a large number of events which were at the fillmore, fillmore west, and/or winterland that were not assigned numbers. My guide does not address them."
Condition: Stains and scuffs on front, foxing.
