This original handbill designed by renowned Austin artist Micael Priest was created to advertise the Steve Miller Band appearing at the Austin Municipal Auditorium on October 21st 1973. Steve Miller (aka "Gangster of Love") began his performing career in 1965 in Chicago when he formed the "Goldberg-Miller Blues Band", which morphed into the Steve Miller Blues Band, which he formed in San Francisco in 1967, and with many changes in his band personnel over the years, is still gigging today, 57 years later, leaving a very long trail of many hit tunes & albums!
