Dave Mason of Traffic and Cass Elliot of the Mamas and the Papas teamed up as a performing and recording unit in late 1970 and early 1971. They released an album together in March 1971 on the Blue Thumb record label. The Winterland performances advertised here occurred just a few months prior.
