We're pleased to present this very attractive promo flyer designed by legendary Texas artist Jim Franklin! It was created for Johnny Winter's debut album "The Progressive Blues Experiment", first released in late 1968. After Winter signed to Columbia Records, the rights were sold to Imperial Records, who reissued it in March 1969. This flyer for Phil's Record Shop in Austin was created in 1969 to promote that issue. Underground Comix writer Jim Franklin created “Armadillo Comics” and is best known for his poster art produced for the historic Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin.
