This super scarce 1972 Official Warner Brothers Records promo poster for Jerry Garcia's First Solo Album "Garcia". This promo on heavy board stock paper was sent to record stores to promote the Grateful Dead's frontman early in his solo career. This is the ONLY copy of this promotional poster printed on card / board stock we have ever auctioned. Distribution of these early promotional posters was extremely limited, since they were primarily manufactured to promote LP's in record stores. The expense of the window card stock likely limited the number of copies of this promo. After the success of American Beauty, Warner Brothers offered members of the Grateful Dead the opportunity to cut their own solo records, and Garcia was released around the same time as Bob Weir's Ace and Mickey Hart's Rolling Thunder.
