PAE is super pleased to include this ultra rare Grateful Dead/Yardbirds specimen in this sale! This very scarce and early poster is from the very first time the Grateful Dead played in Florida. The band rarely played on the East coast before 1968. This poster was created by "Thee Image" club in Miami Beach, Florida to advertise events coming in April of 1968. In addition to the Dead, this Poster lists April ’68 performances by The Yardbirds (with Jimmy Page) and Country Joe & The Fish. Page would go on to form Led Zeppein shortly after leaving America. Material from the Thee Image club is extremely sought after by collectors. Due to a very low original print run, very few of these posters have appeared at public auction. Previously another example of this poster sold for $5,000.00 in another auction last year!
