This original poster was designed by the noted underground comix artist Jim Franklin. It was produced for the Count Basie at the Armadillo World Headquarters for an appearance in January 1980. When one discusses the world of jazz music Count Basie stands out as a true icon. In the 1960's he made a huge comeback when producer Quincy Jones arranged and conducted the album “This Time by Basie!” which launched the Count back onto the pop charts right before the british invasion. Armadillo posters are highly sought after and considered undervalued by the advanced collectors we respect and communicate with.
