This RARE poster was produced for Darryl Rhoades & The Hahavishnu Orchestra, with Andy Pratt in support at the Armadillo World Headquarters in August and September 1977. It was designed by Austin artists Rick Turner and Micael Priest. The Armadillo opened in Austin just after the closing of the Vulcan Gas Company. It went on to become the premiere venue in that musically rich city from 1970-1980. The legendary music club offered an incredibly eclectic range of performers in its 10-year tenure. The posters from these shows represent one of the greatest collections of poster art available anywhere! This is the first example of this rare original poster to ever appear in our auction!
