This advertisement page was placed in the LA Free Press in Septembero promote Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at the Shrine Exposition Hall. The advertisement comes in the form of a review of the band's debut album, "Freak Out!", released in June of '66, along with a review of their August '66 appearance at the same venue. Though "Freak Out" was met with mixed reviews upon its release, it amassed a cult following and is widely regarded as one of the first concept albums in the history of rock music. Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention played a crucial role in pushing the boundaries of popular music during the 1960s. They'd go on to release ten more albums over the next decade.
