This seldom-seen Family Dog Handbill isn't a part of the well-known numbered series, but is still a legitimate FD issue! It advertised Frank Zappa and The Mothers, Sir Douglas, and more at San Francisco's Winterland on January 17, 1969. The design was created by San Andreas Fault (Tad Hunter). Since Chet Helms & The Family Dog had lost their lease at the Avalon Ballroom in November 1968, this Family Dog Revival show was held at Winterland. This January 1969 concert preceded the release of UNCLE MEAT, a double LP that was to be the last Zappa & the Mothers studio recorded album featuring the original Mothers of Invention musicians, released April 21, 1969.
