Time for a Pacific Northwest POWERHOUSE! We are pleased to offer this amazing specimen of one of THE classic Grateful Dead concert posters from the 1960s. This stop on the PNW tour was at the EMU Ballroom in Eugene Oregon. An entire page in the Art of Rock is devoted to these spectacular posters.
In late January and early February of 1968, The Grateful Dead and Quicksilver Messenger Service set out on a tour of the Pacific Northwest. The Tour was dubbed the Quick and the Dead and six different posters showing the six different venues were issued. The posters designed by George Hunter of The Charlatans featured a unique distressed “Wild West” motif that is very popular with collectors.
