This poster is SIGNED by the artist, Mike King!

Here we have an original poster designed by noted Pacific Northwest artist Mike King. It was produced for a 1993 concert by punk veterans The Butthole Surfers at Salem Armory in Oregon. Second on the bill were the Stone Temple Pilots. It was a very early time for the band and they didn’t remain a supporting act for long. They would reach international stardom within a year winning a Grammy Award for their hit song "Plush". This is the first time we’ve offered this Original Poster in our auction! It was produced for hanging on telephone poles record store windows ticket agencies and coffee houses around town.

Material from the Pacific Northwest is always considered special by collectors. They often tell a story all their own and have a different vibe than pieces from other parts of the country. It’s hard to believe this poster is over 25 years old. “Telephone pole flyers” like this are highly collectible and are notably representative of the music-loving culture that produced them.
