This cardboard poster was produced to promote The Pretenders' album "Learning to Crawl". "Learning to Crawl" is the third studio album by the British-American rock band The Pretenders, released on January 11, 1984. The album marked a significant return for the band after a period of tragedy and lineup changes. It's notable for its emotional depth, catchy melodies, and a blend of rock, pop, and new wave influences. It was printed by Colby Poster co.
The historic Colby Poster Printing Company produced promotional material between 1948 and 2012 and they became legendary for their signature fluorescent inks and bold all-caps typography although none of the original staff had any formal design training. They were members of the letterpress union the screen printers union and the typesetters union. Original Printing Cardboard posters are super popular and remain one of the most highly sought after type of concert memorabilia ever known!
