This Wes Wilson poster for an early Fillmore concert by the Turtles is a true sleeper. Yet another unbelievable gem in the world of 1960’s concert posters! The central image of jamming turtles was created by German illustrator and cartoonist Heinrich Kley. This image was also the inspiration for the Grateful Dead Album Terrapin Station.
This poster is deceptively hard to find in this state of preservation. This is just the second CGC graded example to appear at public auction the other example also graded 9.2. Very desirable as such!
