The FD-17A has a special backstory in the Family Dog series. These shows scheduled for July 15 and 16 ended up being canceled, so the same basic image based on a painting by Franz Von Stuck was recycled for the next concert, which was FD-17 on July 22, 1966. Due to the cancelation, poster distribution prior to the concert never happened and most copies were destroyed. That alone makes this collectible extremely rare!
