New Order is an influential British new wave and alternative dance band formed in 1980. Emerging from the ashes of the iconic post-punk group Joy Division after the tragic death of lead singer Ian Curtis, New Order combined electronic and synth-pop elements with rock and post-punk sensibilities. Public Image Limited is a British post-punk and experimental rock band formed in 1978 by John Lydon, also known as Johnny Rotten, the former frontman of the iconic punk band Sex Pistols. The Sugarcubes featured the legendary Björk on vocals prior to her solo career. An amazing array of artists!
