This lot is a special collection of 17 Jimi Hendrix Vintage 4-Track and 8-Track Cartridge Music Tapes. These items are not graded and as is.
Much like concert posters, vinyl and vintage apparel, the 4-Track and 8-Track tapes of years past have become a growing collectible within their own rite. Part of the reason is, these forms of music distribution to the public were relatively short-lived. Capitol Records were the first to issue the 4-track in the early 1960s, and for a number of years retailers would offer both 4 and 8 track formats, until around 1970 when the 8-track tape cartridge won out. The 8-track tapes remained in production until the early 1980s, when the compact cassette tape (which actually predated the 8-track tapes) surpassed it in popularity.
A 20% Buyers Premium will be added to the final hammer price of this lot.
