1969 Grateful Dead Janis Joplin The Byrds The New Orleans Pop Festival Poster Near Mint 81 RESTORED

This poster has been professionally restored to offer the appearance and eye appeal of a mint copy! 

This poster announced the 1969 New Orleans Pop Festival, held at the Louisiana International Speedway during Labor Day weekend. The absolutely stellar lineup consisted of Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, The Youngbloods, It's a Beautiful Day, Country Joe and the Fish, The Byrds, Canned Heat, Iron Butterfly, Santana, and many more! The festival occurred just two weeks after the legendary Woodstock, and featured a handful of the same performers. Many attendees thought of it as a "mini Woodstock". 

There were two pre-festival printings of this poster, reflecting lineup changes and with minor modifications to the graphics. This is the second Pre-Concert Printing version, with the "Pop Festival" lettering in red and printed on glossy paper. Both versions were produced before the event to advertise the event.
