This poster by Portland artist Gary Houston promoted Patti Smith's appearance at the Bagdad Theater in Portland on January 26th, 2010. The legendary punk poet laureate was reading from her memoir that had been released earlier that year titled Just Kids. The memoir focused on her relationship with artist Robert Mapplethorpe. It won the National Book Award for Nonfiction in 2010.
