Here we are offering an early somewhat obscure original poster from a show at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds in 1967 the home of the Northern California Folk Rock Festival. The poster features an image of the 16th President of the United States Abraham Lincoln who is one of the most admired characters in American history. The concert included performances by The Chocolate Watch Band, Love and The Mojo Men. A relatively new band to the area, The Chocolate Watch Band, were blending garage rock with psychedelic sounds as well as proto-punk musical arrangements. This poster is one of only a few created by Sparta Graphics, who produced a small series of South Bay posters back in the day. Major eye appeal! A very nice piece that belongs in any fine vintage concert poster collection!
