Starting bid: $1.00

This vintage 1967 Jefferson Airplane concert poster features the same iconic image of the band that appeared on the cover of their second album, "Surrealistic Pillow", which would quickly catapult The Airplane into international stars. It advertises the band's appearance at The San Diego Community Concourse on September 1st, 1967. Surrealistic Pillow was titled by Jerry Garcia who was a "shadow producer" of the album, and credited in the liner notes as Spiritual Advisor. The album contained the band's biggest hits White Rabbit and Somebody to Love, which would become the official anthem of 1967's Summer of Love. The most minimal research on the internet will reveal that just a small number of these posters were produced. The Seeds and Martha & The Esquires were in support at this event. This first printing poster is 100% original with no restoration, appearing in our auction for the first time!

Condition: Pinholes, foxing, stains and scuffs, crease bottom left corner, tape pulls.
