This 1967 handbill designed by artist Don Ryder features The Young Rascals, Country Joe and The Fish, Sons of Champlin, Sparrow, and The Grass Roots at the Oakland Auditorium on June 28th. The Grateful Dead played but are not listed on this handbill. The band Sparrow was originally listed on the lineup and printed on the handbills for this show, however, they were replaced at the last minute by The Grateful Dead. (The Grateful Dead is only listed on the programs produced for this show). There are no known audio recordings of the Dead's set that date, however, a newspaper article published the day of the show (Oakland Tribune 6/28/67 pg 30) mentions all the bands as playing the event, including the Dead.
