This highly sought-after masterpiece by artist Lee Conklin is one of the most requested and well-known posters in the Fillmore series. This stunning black-and-white illustration exemplifies the artists' style of hidden and flowing images. The art was so powerful that Santana had the piece reworked for their first album cover. This image is one of the most used examples of 1960s art in volumes chronicling the genre. In November 2022, a 9.8 graded example of this poster sold at Heritage Auctions for a record breaking $32,500.00! This 8.0 first printing poster here is in remarkable condition and seems slightly ungraded in our opinion, considering the great shape it is in. This lot is without a doubt one of the highlights of this auction!
