Presenting only the second example of this rare concert poster to ever appear in our auction over the past 14 years, and this one is SIGNED! This original first printing poster was created by artist Mark T Behrens for a two-night run by Hot Tuna, Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band, and Charles Lloyd at Pepperland on September 18th & 19th, 1970. A historic premiere concert night since it was both the opening night of the renovated Pepperland as well as two acoustic-based performances by Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady, their FIRST headlining concert billing as Hot Tuna, without Jefferson Airplane, and which was applauded by enthusiastic reviews, unleashing the duo to pursue gigs on their own without having to rely on JA entirely. The legendary Pepperland was a short-lived venue in the Marin County town of San Rafael that produced a series of excellent posters & handbills in the early 1970s.
