This very RARE, vintage original poster has been trimmed along the bottom, missing several inches.
This cardboard Globe poster advertised music stars Jackie Wilson, B.B. King, Big Maybelle, The Drifters and more appearing at The Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga Tennessee on April 11th, 1961. From its opening in 1929 until its closure in 2010, Globe Poster Company in Baltimore was the go-to place for musicians circuses drag races and concert producers for bold eye-catching letterpress advertising. It's no secret that Globe cardboard concert posters are the gold standard amongst advanced collectors. They rarely show up at public auction and when they do they are always met with enthusiastic bidding!
