This rare cardboard poster was produced for Dr. Timothy Leary appearing at the El Monte Legion Stadium located in El Monte, a city in Los Angeles County, California. The 2 day event in early December 1966 was billed as a "total psychedelic environment". New York video and light show pioneer Jackie Cassen was one of the producers of this event, and there was also multi media displayed by Rudi Stern. It goes without saying that Dr. Timothy Leary one of the most important figures in the counterculture movement. The one time Harvard professor was an early advocate of the psychedelic experience and consciousness expanding substances. This is the FIRST example of this vintage original poster to appear in our auction!
