This cardboard poster was created for the Glenn Miller Orchestra in 1963. It is a filled-in tour blank that was likely just posted on the venue door. Thus, the venue and city in which the performance occurred is unclear.
Glenn Miller disappeared in a plane-related incident in 1944 and was never seen again. However, following the release of the 1953 biopic The Glenn Miller Story, his band reformed and began to play again under Miller's name. They have continued to perform under various directions even now. When the advertised event occurred, the Glenn Miller Band was directed by Richard Maltby, although the poster originally listed the director as Ray McKinley.
