This beautiful offering from the Grande Ballroom is a wonder of preservation. The paper this poster is printed on is so thin that it is translucent almost like tissue paper.
It’s hard to imagine how this delicate piece of art could have remained 100% pristine and undamaged for 5 decades. Its survival in any condition is truly remarkable to be graded 9.8 is simply amazing.
This poster was created to promote an appearance of Tim Buckley at the Grande in 1967. Because it is a Grande concert poster it was produced in a very tiny quantity. Buckley was an innovative folk rock performer who died tragically at the age of 28.
This is the very first CGC graded example of this pposter to appear at public auction.
