In January 1970, The Band were joined by the lovely & talented piano-playing songwriter Laura Nyro for a run of shows in Berkeley. The Band had an incredible ability to create timeless tunes that feel like they've been part of the American fabric for generations even though they were 4/5ths Canadian.
