We are absolutely THRILLED to offer this rare vintage poster in our auction! This concert was sponsored by none other than Bill Graham himself. The bluegrass group Old & In The Way existed for only a brief time during the early 70s, consisting of Jerry Garcia, John Kahn, David Grisman, Peter Rowan and Vassar Clements. It all started with Garcia's early banjo playing roots and his longtime friendship with Grisman. David Grisman is one of the most beloved mandolin players on the planet. His work with bluegrass legends like Vassar Clements and Peter Rowan (who both played with Bill Monroe a decade earlier) are just the tip of the iceberg.

Bimbo's 365 Club is one of San Francisco's oldest nightclub sites owned by Agostino "Bimbo" Giuntoli. In the late 1960s the club expanded from its lounge atmosphere to a larger stage for artists like Smokey Robinson and Marvin Gaye. The Stooges also appeared once in early 1974 playing to a sparse crowd with lead singer Iggy Pop wearing only bikini briefs and boots on stage. The venue still exists today and is a legendary landmark in the city. Famous band, famous venue, low print run, super scarcity… this vintage piece has everything going for it!

Condition: Crease bottom edge, handling.
