Presenting this Original, Double-Sided Performance & Workshop Schedule Flyer from the 1965 Newport Folk Festival featuring Bob Dylan! Bob Dylan was just 24 years old in 1965 and his performances during the 1963, 1964 and 1965 Newport Festivals are iconic in his long career as a singer-songwriter. On Saturday, Dylan performed 3 acoustic numbers, however the next day was his historic FIRST electric performance set of music on July 25, 1965 with backing band, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band. Some of the audience booed his performance not ready for the political folkie songwriter to tread into the waters of electric rock and roll music. That alone sets this Newport fest apart from the others! What a wonderful way to own a piece of music history and share in the excitement of that concert!
